19th Century ward, or "salle hygiéniste"

Just beside the 17th Century ward, a 19th Century ward (or Salle hygiéniste) has been reconstructed inside the hospital-museum Notre Dame à la Rose in Lessines. Many things had changed also in religious respects, as it can be appreciated by the French sentence in a poster: "La liberté de conscience est garantie aux malades. - Pour que nos croyances soient respectées, commencons par respecter celles des autres"1.
