Adolf von Bardeleben bust

Perhaps, the first monument in the Charité (Berlin), a larger than life-size bronze bust of the sculptor Martin Wolff, representing German surgeon Adolf von Bardeleben, was realized in 1889 and now can be seen in Sauerbruchweg1.

In 1868, von Baredeleben became director at the Surgical Hospital of the Charité, and in 1876 became Rector at the University of Berlin.
