Aleksandr Vassilievich Vishnevsky’s bust

The bust of Aleksandr Vassilievich Vishnevsky (1874-1948), a Russian and Soviet military surgeon, a founder of the dynasty of eminent physicians can be seen in Kazan (1 Ulitsa Tolstogo).

The bust was made by sculptor V. Rogozhin and architect A.Sporius in 1973. The sculpture is made of a single piece of granite. An important compositional aspect of the sculpture is the expressive hands of the surgeon.
