The home where Antonio Maria Valsalva was born can still be seen in Imola (via Emilia, 148). A quite swollen memorial tablet on the facade states: "ANTONIO MARIA VALSALVA - LUSTRO / DELLE SCIENZE MEDICHE E CHIRURGI- / CHE - MAESTRO E PRECURSORE NELLE / ANATOMICHE - EBBE QUI I NATALI - IL / 17 GENNAIO 1666 / IL PATRIO MUNICIPIO - NEL SECONDO / CENTENARIO DALLA MORTE / MCMXXIII".
