Astley Paston Cooper monument

This marble monument of Sir Astley Paston Cooper can be seen in the South Transept of St Paul's Cathedral in London.

As remembered by the final phrase of the inscription on the basament, "AS A MEMORIAL OF HIS EXCELLENCE, AND THEIR ADMIRATION, / HIS CONTEMPORARIES AND PUPILS / HAVE ERECTED THIS MONUMENT TO PERPETUATE / HIS NAME AND HIS EXAMPLE".
