Carlo De Vincentiis' home

A memorial tablet indicates since 1924 the home where ophthalmologist Carlo De Vincentiis lived and died in Naples (Piazza Dante, near the corner with via Pessina). The Italian inscription reads as follows: "SIA TRIBUTO DI REVERENZA / DEGLI OCCHI VEGGENTI / OGNI SGUARDO RIVOLTO / A QUESTA CASA / DOVE / VISSE E MORI' CINQUANTENNE / GIA' MAESTRO DI MAESTRI / L'OCULISTA / CARLO DE VINCENTIIS / CHE / ALLA VITA DEGLI OCCHI / ASSICURO' / NUOVI PRODIGI DI SALVEZZA / 1849 1904 / IL COMUNE MCMXXIV".
