Carlo Levi's home and memorial tablet

Carlo Levi was hidden in this house of Florence (Piazza Pitti, 14) during the final part of Second World War and the Nazi occupation of Italy. Here, he wrote his masterpiece "Christ Stopped at Eboli" and painted some of his more beautiful paintings.
