Carlos Enrique Paz Soldan's bust
This bronze bust of Carlos Enrique Paz Soldan is in the garden of the Facultad de Medicina de San Fernando in Lima, just in front of the Instituto de Medicina Social. Carlos Enrique Paz Soldan is considered the founder of Social Medicine. He fought the use of coca in his country.
On the marble basament, a Spanish inscription reads as follows: "Al Maestro, fundador e ideologo / de la Medicina Social en el Perù / Carlos Enrique Paz Soldan / Los continuadores de su obra / San Fernando, Marzo 2009".
