Carlos Jiménez Diaz monument
This evocative monument to the memory of Spanish pathologist Carlos Jiménez Diaz can be seen in Madrid (Plaza de Cristo Rey), next to his famous Clínica de la Concepción. The Spanish inscription, beneath the bas-relief of the scientist, reads as follows: "AL MAESTRO / DE LA MEDICINA / CARLOS / JIMENEZ DIAZ. / EL HOMBRE / LA CIENCIA / LA PATRIA / LE / RINDEN HOMENAJE" (To the Master / of Medicine / Carlos Jimenéz Diaz. / Man / Science / Homeland / Pay homage to Him).
