Claude Bernard bust

On an external wall of the Muséum national d'histoire naturelle in the Jardin des Plantes of Paris (in front of 9, rue Buffon), this marble bust of Claude Bernard can be seen - accompanied by his name (almost invisible, on top of the window) and birth and death dates: 1813-1878 - as a testimony of the importance of the founder of the "experimental medicine" for life sciences in general.
