Doctors' trial Courtroom

The famous Doctors' trial, against 23 medical doctors and public health officers accused of having been involved in Nazi human experimentation and mass murder under the guise of euthanasia, was held in this courtroom (Number 600) of the Palace of Justice in Nuremberg, from December 9, 1946, until August 20, 1947. "Of the 23 defendants, seven were acquitted and seven received death sentences; the remainder received prison sentences ranging from 10 years to life imprisonment"1. Among the sentenced to death, there was Karl Brandt, for many years personal physician to Adolf Hitler.
