Edoardo Porro's memorabilia

A collection of objects, medical instruments and papers belonged to Edoardo Porro can be seen in a showcase of the Museo per la Storia dell'Università di Pavia in Pavia. Among them the bronze casting of Porro's face made by Italian sculptor Egidio Boninsegna, the surgical instruments used by Porro during the first utero-ovarian amputation (21 May 1876) and the anatomical specimen removed on that occasion.
