Élie Metchnikoff marble tablet
This honorary marble tablet, dedicated to Élie Metchnikoff, is located in Messina, "Contrada del Ringo" (Viale della Libertà), where he discovered the phagocytosis. Thanks to this discovery Metchnikoff won the Nobel Prize in 1908.
