Ettore Ruggieri was a student of the famous doctor Raffaele Paolucci.
Since 1949, he has taught special surgical pathology and later general surgical clinic in Naples. His most important contributions go from the surgery of the digestive system, to the study of the revascularization of the heart and thoracic surgery, which he dealt with, in many volumes, the many aspects and the various indications. In 1963 he directed the publication of the "Trattato di semeiotica e diagnostica chirurgica".
