The Italian inscription reads as follows: "FILIPPO CIVININI PISTOIESE / ANATOMICO IN PISTOIA E IN PISA / RICERCATORE SAGACE / ILLUSTRO' LE VARIETA' UMANE / CON VEDUTE EVOLUTIVE / PISTOIA 1805 - PISA 1844 / 25 IXBRE 1906"¹.
