Florence Nightingale tomb

The simple grave of Florence Nightingale, founder of the modern way of nursing, can be seen in the churchyard of St. Margaret, in East Wellow, Hampshire, England.

It is a four sided monument with inscriptions on each side for the four family members: mother, father and sister of Florence Nightingale. On the Florence side, under a cross, there is this very simple inscription: "F. N. / Born 12 May 1820 / Died 13 August 1910."
