Galileo Galilei's bust

Galileo Galilei‘s bust can be seen at the bottom left side of the lecture hall of the Istituto Chimico Giacomo Ciamician, in Bologna. (Via Zamboni, 33 – 40126 Bologna/ via Selmi, 2). Made of plaster, it is located near the main desk. The author is unkonwn. The bust is in this room since 1925, the lecture hall’s inauguration year. It represents a tribute to Galileo, the father of the scientific Method. On the opposite side of the lecture hall there is another bust of the renowned chemist Antoine Lavoisier.
