Giulio Vassale's bust
This marble bust of Giulio Vassale can be found in the central seat of the University of Modena (Via dell'Università, 4). An italian inscription on the memorial tablet under the dusty bust reads as follows: "A GIULIO VASSALE / CHE RESSE PER UN VENTENNIO LA CATTEDRA / DI PATOLOGIA GENERALE / E VI SI FECE CON LE SUE SCOPERTE ILLUSTRE / L'ATENEO CHE EGLI PREDILESSE / CONCORRENDO COLLEGHI E AMMIRATORI / NEL PRIMO ANNIVERSARIO DELLA SUA MORTE / 1914".
