Giuseppe Moscati’s chapel is adjacent to SS. Pietro and Paolo’s Church, in Serino. It is distant few tens of meters from the Order of Saint Clare's convent. It was built in 1980, after the earthquake in Irpinia.
In the apse there is the wooden statue of the Immaculate Conception. A canvas is attached to the ceiling: it was painted in 1980 by Ovidio De Martino and depicts Giuseppe Moscati who intercedes for the land of his ancestors. On the back wall of the entrance is the picture of Giuseppe Moscati painted in 1985, by Colombiere De Leonardis. At the center of the floor is buried Francesco Moscati, Giuseppe Moscati’s father, under a tombstone. On the left wall a stone slab is affixed, that shows a Giuseppe Moscati’s tribute to his native village, Serino:
“SERINO/ PAESAGGIO INDIMENTICABILE/ L’IRPINIA/ L’UNICO POSTO AL MONDO/ OVE VOLENTIERI TRASCORREREI I MIEI GIORNI/ PERCHE’ RINSERRA LA PIU’ CARE, LE PIU’ DOLCI MEMORIE DELLA MIA INFANZIA, E LE OSSA DEI MIEI CARI”.
In SS. Pietro and Paolo’ Church, that is next to Giuseppe Moscati’s chapel, there are a Giuseppe Moscati’s statue and many ex voto, dedicated to him from people who have received a miracle.
