Guido Baccelli's home

A tablet at the first floor of the facade of a big building in Corso Vittorio Emanuele II, 187, in Rome remembers italian physician and statesman Guido Baccelli who lived here until his death in 1916. The memorial tablet was unveiled on May 9th 19201.

The Italian inscriptionon on the tablet was dictated by Rodolfo Lanciani2 and reads as follows: "ALLA MEMORIA / DI GUIDO BACCELLI / CHE IN QUESTA CASA SPIRAVA / IL X GENNAIO MCMXVI / ROMA RICONOSCENTE" (To the memory / of Guido Baccelli / who in this home passed away / the 10 January 1916 / Rome. Grateful).
