Hunter Birthplace and Museum
"Hunter House is the original Long Calderwood Farm, and possibly the oldest building in East Kilbride, near Glasgow. The house was the childhood home of William and John Hunter, the famous 18th century medical pioneers. The building now houses exhibits about the childhood, life and work of the brothers. William Hunter's collection forms the basis of the William Hunter Museum in Glasgow University, while John's is in the Royal College of Surgeons of England in London"1.
