Institut Chirurgical Berkendael

The old Institut Chirurgical Berkendael in Brussels (Place G. Brugmann n° 29) was built in 1905 by Art nouveau architect Jean-Baptiste Dewin on the initiative of the celebrated Belgian surgeon Antoine Depage1. The building was later expanded with the adjacent Centre de Santé de la Croix Rouge de Belgique and is now undergoing restoration (August 2009).
