Jean Baptiste Pussin's memorial tablet

This black marble tablet, dedicated to the memory of hospital superintendent and pioneer psychiatric nurse Jean-Baptiste Pussin, can be seen on the right just passed the main entrance of BicĂȘtre Hospital in Paris. Pussin worked in the hospital for 22 years and was a source of inspiration and a valuable collaborator for Philippe Pinel's "moral treatment" revolution. The marble tablet was inaugurated in 1887.
