The tomb of John William Fisher can be found in the Kensal Green Cemetery in London (Harrow Road). His widow, Lilias Stuart, is buried in the same tomb.
The English inscription reads as follows: "THIS MONUMENT IS ERECTED / IN / AFFECTIONATE MEMORY OF / SIR WILLIAM FISHER F.R.C.S. / BORN JANUARY 30th 1788 / DIED MARCH 22nd 1876 / […] FORTY FOUR YEARS SURGEON IN CHIEF TO THE METROPOLITAN POLICE FORCE. / FOR WE KNOW THAT IF OUR EARTHLY HOUSE OF / […] TABERNACLE WERE DISSOLVED. WE HAVE A / […] OF GOD AN HOUSE NOT MADE WITH HANDS / […] IN THE HEAVENS. / ALSO OF HIS WIDOW / LILIAS STUART, / DAUGTHER OF COLONEL MACKENZIE / OF GRUINARD, ROSS-SHIRE, N.B. / BORN JULY 13th 1823 / DIED SEPTEMBER 12th 1892 / […] WILL BE DONE."
