Joseph Lister memorial tablet

A round plaque to the memory of Lord Joseph Lister can be seen inside the Edinburgh Medical School, with the following english inscription: "THE UNIVERSITY / of EDINBURGH / IN HONOUR OF / LORD LISTER / 1827 - 1912 / FOUNDER OF ANTISEPTIC AND ASEPTIC / SURGERY, REGIUS PROFESSOR / OF CLINICAL SURGERY / (1869 - 1877)".
