Iapyx
This page lists items in the database related to the Trojans' doctor, Iapyx:
Iapyx, son of Iasus, brother of Palinurus, was a wound healer and a battlefield surgeon of Greek mythology and one of the characters of the Aeneid. He was described in the XII book, as the Trojans' doctor. There is a wonderful fresco in the Museo Archeologico Nazionale(you can see it on the link above this description), that portrays doctor Iapyx removing an arrow head from the thigh of Aeneas. According to a tradition, his house could have been The Surgeon's home in Pompeii.
