Louis Pasteur historic vineyard

This is the vineyard near Montigny-lès-Arsures (Quartier des Rosières) where, in 1878, Louis Pasteur carried out his experiments into alcoholic fermentation, revealing its organic origins and in particular, the role of indigenous yeasts in triggering fermentation1. Now the French Académie des Sciences owns these vines.
