Ludovico Necchi's tomb

Ludovico Necchi was buried in the crypt of the Sacro Cuore Catholic University chapel in Milan, near Agostino Gemelli's tomb. He played an important medical, religious and political role in Italy as a whole and, with Agostino Gemelli, suggested the idea of a catholic university as a triumph of Christianity above the culture.

The Italian inscription reads as follows: "DOTT. LUDOVICO NECCHI / TERZIARIO FRANCESCANO / NATO A MILANO IL 19 NOVEMBRE 1876 / MORTO A MILANO L'11 GENNAIO 1930 / PREGATE PER L'ANIMA SUA"
