Luigi Concato's bust

This marble bust of Luigi Concato is a work of sculptor Antonio Tortone and was finished in 1885. The monument was inaugurated on the 28th of March 18861. The bust is one of the Medical Monuments in the University of Turin central building and can be seen in the first floor gallery (west side).

Under the bust, an Italian inscription reads as follows: "A LUIGI CONCATO PADOVANO / CLINICO ESPERTISSIMO / CHE NELL'ATENEO SUBALPINO / DALL'ANNO 1878 ALL'ANNO 1882 / ULTIMO DI SUA VITA / CON VASTA DOTTRINA ED EFFICACE PAROLA / INSEGNO' MEDICINA PRATICA / I COLLEGHI _ I DISCEPOLI / POSERO / 1885".
