Marchetti Family funeral monument

An entire family of renowned physicians, the Marchettis, is remembered by a magnificent baroque monument between the left aisle and the apse of Basilica of Saint Anthony, in Padua.

In the tomb - work of sculptor Giovanni Comini (1690) - are buried the famous anatomist Domenico Marchetti (d.1688), jointly with his father Pietro (d.1673) and brother Antonio (d.1730).
