Maria Dalle Donne's tomb

Maria Dalle Donne died on January 9th, 1842, and on January 13th, after the funeral in the church of Santa Caterina di Saragozza (were Maria often played the organ)1, she was buried under the east portico of the third cloister in the Certosa Cemetery of Bologna.

The inscription on the marble tablet had become almost unreadable and, in 1992, some physicians of her birthtown had it redone, under the auspices of the Zonta Club of Bologna.
