Italian physician and zoologist Michele Lessona is buried in a very simple tomb in one of the Meritorious people arches inside the Monumental Cemetery of Turin (1^st extension, Arch 166).

Italian inscription on the tomb states: "1823 - 1824 / MICHELE LESSONA / GRANDE PER LA POTENZA DELL'INGEGNO / PIÙ GRANDE PER LA BONTÀ DELL'ANIMO / COLLA PAROLA COLLA PENNA COLL'ESEMPIO / COMBATTÉ / PEL VERO E PEL BENE"
