Museo Galileo
The Museo Galileo occupies the whole Palazzo Castellani, a medieval building (late 11th century) situated in the heart of Florence, on the Arno, near the Galleria degli Uffizi. The building has a facade of bare stone, it rises for six floors and it is distinguished by rounded windows, and rusticated stone arches. Since 1930, Palazzo Castellani is the home to the Istituto e Museo di Storia della Scienza, nowadays Museo Galileo.
