Museum of Anthropology and Ethnology

The museum is currently hosted in Palazzo Nonfinito in Florence (via Proconsolo, 12). It was founded in 1869 by physician and anthropologist Paolo Mantegazza and developed, after his death in 1910, by his pupil and successor Aldobrandino Mochi. The Museum hosts a collection of about 25.000 objects from many different parts of the world. They were collected since the Medici's times, thanks to many travelers, scientists and explorers.
