Niels Stensen memorial tablet

In the cloister of the Basilica of San Lorenzo, in Florence, a large memorial tablet remembers the honours tributed to Niels Stensen by the Second International Geological Congress, that was held in Bologna in 1881 and culminated with the visit to the Steno’s tomb, then still in the crypt of the Basilica.
