Oswaldo Cruz's birthplace
Oswaldo Cruz was born in São Luis do Paraitinga. His house (Rua Dr. Osvaldo Cruz) is going to be renovate, so it shall welcome visitors in the near future. On the entrance wall there is a plaque bearing the following words: "HERE OSWALDO CRUZ WAS BORN, IN 5 AUGUST 1972. TO THE GREAT BRAZILIAN THIS IS AN HOMAGE OF THE CENTRO DE PROFESSORADO PAULISTA".
In front of the hall door there is a bust of Oswaldo Cruz, placed on two stones. Beside it there is a pedestal bearing the words: "OSWALDO CRUZ'S HOUSE" with its history.
