Raffaele Paolucci was an Italian surgeon, politician, soldier and university lecturer. He was known for being a valorous soldier, who joined the raid on Pula, that caused the sinking of the Austro-Hungarian flagship Viribus Unitis in 1918, during the World War I. He took a great contribute to Italian medicine, with the execution of the first pulmonary lobectomy in Italy.
