Short biography

Raimondo Borsellino was born in Cattolica Eraclea on 27 April 1905. He worked, as surgeon, in the hospital in Sciacca and in Agrigento. He was major in Cattolica Eraclea and was a member of Parliament and as parlamentarian he brought a bill before Parliament in order to institute, in all italian hospitals, the service of anesthesia; so the “Legge Borsellino” was born. He died on 26 December 1998, at the age of 93, in a small room of the Clinic "Madonna della Divina Grazia" in Agrigento where he worked.
