Richard Bright's funeral tablet

A marble funeral tablet to the memory of Richard Bright can be found inside St James's Church, Piccadilly, in London (197 Piccadilly), just entered the church, on the left.

Richard Bright died on the 16th December 1858. "In his will he had asked for a private funeral, so the ceremony took place with all simplicity at Kensal Rise. Later, a monument was put up to his memory in St James's, Piccadilly. Somewhere in the churchyard lay the bodies of William [son] and little Anna [daughter]; nearby too was the family pew, frequented weekly by Bright"1.
