Ritter "Model A" Dental X-Ray Machine
This Dental X-Ray Machine was donated by Dr. and Mrs. Samuel S. Wexler to the International Museum of Surgical Science in Chicago. This "Model A" was manufactured c. 1920 by Ritter Dental Mfg. Co., Inc., Rochester-New York, and became the most common x-ray machine used by dentists in the early 20th Century. "The dental x-ray did not appear as an every day piece of equipment until the 'Model A' came out. This new improved tool gave the dental profession its most efficient instrument for diagnosing cases correctly"1
