Sala Gimbernat

The Gimbernat Hall was the old anatomical theatre of the Reial Collegi de Cirurg├Ča de Barcelona (Royal College of Surgeons of Barcelona) and is now the main conference hall of the Reial Academia de Medicina de Catalunya, Barcelona.

It is a rich and beautiful 18th century theatre, with some monuments of distinguished figures of Spanish Medicine and the names of four of them inscribed in four medallions on the ceiling: Miguel Servet, Antoni de Gimbernat, Pedro Mata y Santiago Ramon y Cajal.
