Salvatore Tomaselli's bust

This bronze bust of Salvatore Tomaselli can be found in a hallway leading to the entrance hall of the "Clinica medica" building of the Ospedale civico "Vittorio Emanuele II" in Catania (Via Plebiscito, 628). The bust is placed on a marbled pedestal bearing the name of the doctor with the years of his birth and death.
On the stone basament, an Italian inscription reads as follows: " PROFESSORE DI ANATOMIA PATOLOGICA, DI PATOLOGIA MEDICA E DI CLINICA MEDICA DELL'UNIVERSITà DI CATANIA./IL SUO NOME RESTA LEGATO ALLA <FEBBRE ITTERO-EMATURICA DA CHININO> (ENZIMOPENICA) E ALLA <FEBBRE SUDORALE MELITENSE> ".

In the same hallway there are also the busts of Luigi Condorelli and Giovanni Maria Rasario.
