This oil-on-canvas painting by Alfred Touchemolin is named Séance de vaccination antivariolique au Val-de-Grâce and represents a smallpox vaccination session, around 1900, in the Hôpital d'instruction des armées du Val-de-Grâce in Paris. It can be seen (item N° 457) in the Musée du Service de Santé des Armées at the same hospital.
