St Bartholomew's Hospital Museum
St Bartholomew's Hospital in London host a little but very nice and rich Museum, telling its old and inspiring story.
"Under the archway outside the museum stand two collecting or poor boxes. Until the advent of the National Health Service in 1948, Barts was dependent on donations forr its survival and these boxes were designed to encourage generous giving"1.
Museum's sections display objects, instruments, archive's papers and work of art about the apothecary, surgical, nursing, educational and also sport histories of the hospital.
Visitors can also view the spectacular William Hogarth staircase.
