The Bosco ai Frati Altarpiece by Fra Angelico
The so-called Bosco ai Frati Altarpiece by Fra Angelico can be seen in the Museo Nazionale di San Marco of Florence. Among the saints who surround the Virgin with the Child, the two Saint physicians Cosmas and Damian are the second and third from the right. The painting, a tempera on wood, comes from the convent of San Bonaventura al Bosco ai Frati in Mugello and can be dated to sometime after 1450.
