The discovery of the sarcophagi of Dymphna and Gerebernus after their death, by Jan Carel Vierpyl

Painting by Jan Carel Vierpyl (1675 - 1723) kept inside the Saint Dymphna’s Church in Geel which depicts the episode of the discovery of the sarcophagi of Dymphna and Gerebernus after their death. Fragments of the white sarcophagi portrayed in the painting are still preserved in the Gasthuismuseum.
