The Lawn Hospital

The Lawn Hospital - previously Lincoln General Lunatic Asylum and The Lawn Mental Hospital - was a former mental-health hospital in Lincoln (Carline Road), where the reforms in psychiatric treatment promoted by Edward Parker Charlesworth took place in the first half of the 19th century. The hospital opened in 1820 and closed in 19851.
