Tommaso Casoni's memorial tablet

A tablet dedicated to the memory of Tommaso Casoni can be seen in the Old University of Sassari. He moved to Sardinia in 1910 to research hydatid disease. In 1911 he became a medical teacher of Patology in Sassari.

The italian inscription reads as follows: "A/ TOMMASO CASONI/ DOCENTE NELL'UNIVERSITA' DI SASSARI/ NEGLI ANNI 1907-1912/ IDEATORE DELLA REAZIONE/ OGGI UNIVERSALMENTE ADOTTATA/ PER LA DIAGNOSI DELL'IDATIDOSI/ L'ASSOCIAZIONE INTERNAZIONALE/ DELL'IDATIDOLOGIA/ IN OCCASIONE DEL SUO/ VII CONGRESSO INTERNAZIONALE/ MEMORE RICONOSCENTE TRIBUTA".
