Vesalius' Skinned Man

This bronze monument representing a skinned man, bearing a skinned head in his right hand, was unveiled in Zakynthos (Solomos Square) on September 4, 2014, by Tourism Minister Olga Kefalogiannis in order to celebrate the fifth centennial of Andreas Vesalius' birth. The statue is a work of Richard Neave, while the base and the coat of arms were sculpted by Pascale Pollier1.
