Wilhelm Conrad Rontgen's pathway and memorial tablet

Wilhelm Conrad Rontgen was fond of mountaineering and photography. He spent his summer holidays for more than 40 years in Pontresina. A pathway towards the Piz Languard was dedicated to him and is called Röntgen-Weg. The path starts near the Romanesque church of S. Maria and the so-called Spaniola Tower.

Then you have to walk about 20 minutes along the path to reach the spot where a memorial tablet to the discoverer of the X-rays has been placed on a rock.
